A Message from Jerry and Esther Bryant, Ministers of MissionsHere at RCC, we support a number of ministries around the world. We would like to give you an overview of the ministries so that you will be able to pray with greater focus. When selecting mission ministries to support, we feel it is important to develop relationships with each one and to be an active part in their work. With the exception of two, all of the ministry leaders, have ministered in our church. This is the Lord's way, the working New Testament church. The ministries we support are not just those people over there that we help, but they are OUR brothers and sisters and we speak into their lives and they into ours. Read and rejoice for He has done great things. First, I would like to introduce you to Pastor Oleg Kunin. He is the pastor of Tula Christian Center in Tula, Russia; you can visit their website at www.gscaef.org. Some years ago our church supported Randy and Diane Craighead who established the church in Tula. Diane was a member of RCC for many years. Oleg Kunin is part of the fruit of their ministry and our giving. Tula Christian center is involved in evangelism, church planting, and ministering to the poor. They visit a large garbage dump on a regular basis to give food and clothes to those there scraping around for what they can find. Pray for increase and more people to be touched and saved. Peace International is a ministry in Australia that we sow into each month. Apostle John Alley founded the ministry there in 1988. One of the reasons we support Peace International is that they minister in the Far East countries. They have planted churches and minister in the Philippines, Malaysia and Cambodia. Apostle John Alley is a wonderful man and provides excellent leadership. He is also on our church's apostolic council. International Harvesters for Christ, run by Dr. Richard Maiden and his wife Carol, is based in England. They travel to Hungary where they have an orphanage and minister in many churches there. It seems God has blessed and enabled them to travel and minister to many European and former Soviet nations. Their prayer needs are for a new computer, newer car (the 1984 Nissan is almost dead) and a copy machine. The higher cost of living in England and traveling in Europe is a continual challenge. Pastor Nicholas Louis Juste started the Poor Children's Assistance Project in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1977. He has planted 22 churches, and in these are 12 schools and five orphanages, caring for about 300 poor children. As part of our goals, we are not only giving finances to help, but also we send ministry teams to Haiti to teach in leadership training seminars, help with building projects, and meet various other needs. See our slideshow of this outreach. In India, we help three different ministries. Each one is a little different in their calling and purpose. First, we have the Indian Evangelical Team. P.G. Vargis founded IET in 1977. Church planting is a major part of this ministry. They have Bible training schools and send pastors all over India. They currently have a need for many pioneer church buildings (they call them worship sheds) and Bibles for the various languages. The second ministry we help in India is Gospel to the Unreached Millions. Dr. K.A. Paul is the founder and president of this ministry. He holds massive rallies and revival services much like Billy Graham. He concentrates most of his ministry in India, but is now going to China. Pray for wisdom and knowledge as he takes the gospel to these two massive nations. Sonshine Ministries, founded by Pastor J.T. Norman, has a Bible School to train pastors and an orphanage in India. They dig wells on the church property so the community will have water. Please pray that they can finish their building projects and buy a an to carry equipment to show the "Jesus Film" around the region. In Lexington, KY, we help The Lighthouse. This ministry is called to meet the practical and spiritual needs of those in crisis situations. Tay Henderson provides leadership for this ministry. Much of ministry is helping ex-cons with no place to go, as well as providing meals to the poor of the local community. RCC has many members that travel to different places to minister. Richard and Dawn Johnson's ministry is called Christian Formation Ministries. They are ministering in prisons in the Kentucky-Southern Indiana area, as well as traveling all over the U.S. ministering in prisons and churches. The Spriglers and the McCutcheons have traveled to Mexico several times. The Bryants and other church members continue to travel to Haiti. Let's continue to support all of these ministries with our prayers and our finances. May the Lord Jesus bless you abundantly!! Jerry and Esther Bryant
