A Few Words from Pastor Bob Hauselman
Over the years, I have been asked many times, 'What's the Lord saying to you
right now?' Too often, I'm sure, I gave a good Sunday School answer, because I
was not that clear as to such things. For the last 12 to 15 months, there are a
few things that are most clear to me and I am increasingly confident that it is
God's voice that I am hearing.
The number one thing I hear the Lord saying to me is that God's people must know
Who He is and progressively know Him more intimately. The prophet Daniel
prophesied that Those who do wickedly against the
covenant He shall corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall
be strong, and carry out great exploits. And those of the people who understand
shall instruct many.... (Dan 11:32-33). This is such a great promise,
but only for those who KNOW THEIR GOD. I am convinced that the only way for this
to happen is for God's people to spend time with God. The ultimate end of such
an encounter will be the increase in strength and supernatural demonstrations of
God in the earth, so that we will gain the needed platform to instruct many
others and tell them the good news of Jesus Christ.
A second thing of great importance is that God's people must gain a greater
understanding of who they are in Christ. The Bible says:
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. (2 Corinthians
5:17) Our relationship with God can change as we discover Who He is
and who we are in Him. When we receive Christ, our spiritual DNA is changed. We
have a funeral for the old us called baptism and we are raised up out of the
water in newness of life. It is at this point that we can begin to see our
destiny in Him. We realize that we are His children, adopted into His family,
partakers of His inheritance. Without this revelation, we will be greatly
hindered in grasping the next thing I hear the Lord saying to me. . . .
God's people must gain an appreciation for what we already have. If I can't see
myself as God's son, things like inheritance won't seem real or possible to me.
When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He began, 'Our Father,'
not 'My Father' or 'Most High God,' but 'Our Father' — His and mine. I'm in the
family and I want my Father to teach me the family business. I want to
demonstrate to the world what it means to be a child of God.
Consider this: For the earnest expectation of the
creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God. Romans 8:19
The world is waiting for Jesus in you and me.
God bless you and yours,
Pastor
