Prophetic Power

SPRIGLER, Meinrad & BeverlyActs 1:8 – “But you shall receive power, after the Holy Ghost comes upon you: and you shall be witnesses of me, to the uttermost parts of the earth.” The power of God given by the Holy Ghost to demonstrate the power of God, to prove that the word of God is true.

Our text for this newsletter—Treat it like a Bible Study this month…

I Corinthians 2:1-5 – Not just in words, but in the demonstration of God’s power.

I Corinthians 2:12 – “Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, But the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us by God.” We have not been given the wisdom of the world, but we have been given the wisdom of God,, by the Holy Ghost, to manifest the power of God.

Let’s look at an example:
Acts 3:1-9 – They were confronted with a situation. They spoke the word to it. Then they followed through with faith action. It produced results and the people saw the demonstration of the power of God.

God’s word says to stay away from these types of people:
II Timothy 3:5 – “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” Sounds pretty clear to me. They produce a great sermonette, but very few demonstrate.

I Timothy 1:7 – “For God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” So, we can say fear is of the devil. Power is of God. Then in love we demonstrate the power of God in the right frame of mind.

***All prophetic word spoken will produce action backed by the power of God. It requires faith believing, and doing.***

II Thessalonians 3:9 – “Not because we have not power, but to make ourselves an example to you to follow us.” Not just by word, but by action of the demonstration of the power of God.

I Thessalonians 1:11 – “Wherefore we always pray for you, that our God will count you worthy of His calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness, and the work of faith with power.” The faith of the Son of God in you, demonstrating the power of the Father.

Ephesians 3:20 – “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” As we allow that power to work through us we shall receive far more than we could ever ask or think.

Ephesians 1:19 – We believe according to the working of His mighty power.

I Corinthians 4:20 – “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

Acts 10:38 – “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.” You have the same Holy Ghost! You have the same anointing! You have the same power! And also, God is with you!

Acts 6:8 – Remember Stephen, in Acts Six? A little old deacon with the power of God.

Philippians 1:6 – “Being confident of this very thing, that He which has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (His power performing through you!)
